Huge Liverpool claim as"world-class"star backed to"very happily"stay this summer

**Mohamed Salah could “very happily” stay put at Liverpool beyond the end of this season, according to a big claim from finance expert Stefan Borson.**

The 33-year-old’s future at Anfield remains a big talking point, following a campaign that has seen him fall way below his previous standards for the Reds.

Liverpool improved after he came off away to Nottingham Forest last weekend, and there is some logic in allowing him to leave this summer, in order to receive money for an ageing figure.

There is also a chance that Salah will see out the remainder of his contract until 2027, however, and Borson has told [_Football Insider_](https://www.footballinsider247.com/mohamed-salah-is-happy-earning-very-big-money-at-liverpool-this-is-why-he-could-u-turn-on-exit-plan/) that it could be a distinct possibility:

_“I think the reality is only Saudi Arabia could even come close to competing. So, does Saudi Arabia want to invest that amount money? Are they in a position to have things changed in Saudi Arabia? We just don’t know at the moment._

_“If not, he’ll see his contract out very happily on very big money. I just don’t see any other real route out of Liverpool given his earnings.”_

**Could the next few months decide Mo Salah’s Liverpool future?**

-----------------------------------------------------------------

It remains to be seen what will happen with Salah this summer, in terms of a Saudi Pro League club coming in for him, or him deciding he wants a fresh challenge.

If the Egyptian can suddenly find top form again, though, it goes without saying that Liverpool may happily keep him until next year.

But even if that happens, signing a top-quality right winger still has to be seen as priority business for the Reds, with Salah’s pace not what it was and his overall influence diminishing greatly.

Liverpool supporters will be split over what should happen with him, and ultimately, these next few months could prove key when it comes to the club’s stance on him later in the year.

He still has the “world-class” ability that [Jurgen Klopp](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11669/11612109/jurgen-klopp-praises-world-class-mohamed-salah-after-liverpool-beat-crystal-palace) has lauded him for in the past, and finding his form again could aid the Reds’ chance of unlikely Champions League glory at the end of the season.
