According to fresh reports from Catalonia, Barcelona are believed to be interested in one African star from Manchester City as they seek to strengthen their attack force for next season.

With the future of Robert Lewandowski unclear at the moment, it is said that Barcelona are preparing for life after Polish international who will be 38-years-old in August.

According to Spanish outlet, Sport, Barcelona has identified Egyptian star Omar Marmoush as a potential replacement for the Lewandowski.

While Barcelona have been long time admirers of Atletico Madrid star Julian Alvarez, the club believe that a potential transfer could produce logistical issues.

For one, the report mentions that Atletico could charge Barcelona €150 million for their star man, a price the Catalan side wont be willing to pay.

As an alternative, Marmoush comes in as a more reasonable prospect, while he continues to fight for his place alongside Erling Haaland in the Manchester City frontline.
