Chelsea linked Premier League star told to move–will Blues switch happen?

Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard has been urged to leave the club this summer as he is no longer an ‘influential’ player for boss Mikel Arteta, who now prefers to play Eberechi Eze, but could CHELSEA make a move for the midfielder?

Reports circulating in London suggest that, should Arsenal open the door to a departure, several top-flight sides would monitor the situation closely. While there is no indication yet of formal interest, the prospect of a marquee midfielder becoming available has inevitably sparked speculation.

For now, sources close to Arsenal maintain that Ødegaard remains central to the club’s long-term project. The Norwegian has repeatedly stated his happiness in North London, and his leadership role—both on and off the pitch—has been fundamental to Mikel Arteta’s rebuild.

But that hasn’t stopped CHELSEA from monitoring the situation. Under their current ownership, Chelsea have consistently targeted technically gifted, high-work-rate midfield profiles who can slot into a possession-dominant system. Ødegaard, at the peak of his creative influence and approaching what many see as his prime years, fits that model perfectly.

Would Odegaard be welcome at Chelsea?

This is a hard one guys because on his day, Ogegaard could be a brilliant player for most big sides, but this season he has really struggled with injuries and performances, his level of football has really dropped.

Ad that to the fact he plays for Arsenal and it makes the move to Stamford Bridge one to get excited about, if he joined, we could be getting someone that is sitting on the sidelines most of the season because of injury.

It is much more likely that we go out and land a few players that are younger and hungrier than Odegaard, so it is very unlikely that he will end up at Chelsea in the summer.

But you never know in football do you?
