Former Saints, LSU center Will Clapp retiring after 8-year career

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - After eight seasons in the NFL, center Will Clapp is calling it a career.

Clapp, 30, announced his retirement in a social media post Wednesday night.

Clapp was a two-time All-SEC First Team selection in 2016 and 2017 before being drafted by the New Orleans Saints in the seventh round in 2018. Clapp spent three seasons in New Orleans before playing for the Chargers and Bills. He returned to the Saints last season, but suffered an injury in preseason that kept him off the field.

Clapp is a Brother Martin grad, where he was a standout prep player.
