Packers Slapped With Troubling Update on State of Franchise

The Green Bay Packers may be one of the most competitive teams in the league, but the organization may be struggling in multiple other ways.

Despite the NFLPA report cards now being made private to teams, that does not mean that the grades on those report cards will not be made public in one way or another. That is the case for the Packers, as the organization has been hit with a troubling update via the grades they received for the 2025 season.

One of the leaders in banning the public from being able to see the NFLPA report cards was New York Jets owner Woody Johnson, who clearly took umbrage with the organization receiving tons of low grades. While his reasoning is understandable, the public getting to see how players view their own franchise is important.

Because in reality, fans are likely not wanting the organizations, facilities, and players to be in disarray while thousands of dollars are likely spent by fans to attend games every seaosn. Regardless, the report cards are now being withheld from the public eye.

For the Packers, a new report and source has indicated the team has fallen down a good margin from the 2024 to 2025 season.

Per Aaron Nagler, a source revealed to him that the Packers have been hit hard on the report cards for the 2025 season.

“The Green Bay Packers fell 14 spots, to 21st overall in this year's Report Card - the steepest year-over-year decline of any team. The drop is driven largely by the decline in ratings for the training room and training staff, which now rank in the bottom third of the league. Players report a lack of space and outdated recovery equipment, along with a lack of communication and trust in the training room. These issues are a top priority players identify to be addressed.

“Players report that the team does not provide gameday childcare, as most teams do, contributing to their bottom-third ranking for treatment of families. The team's nutrition program similarly ranks near the bottom, with players wanting improved nutrition plans and more nutritious food options to better support these plans. Head coach Matt LaFleur dropped a full letter grade this season and ranks second to last in the league in respect for players,” the report reads.

There are clearly some major issues with the Packers facilitites, as indicated in the above report that Nagler provided. On top of that, head coach Matt LaFleur was also hit with a sizable drop.

The most concerning aspect of LaFleur dropping is being “second to last in the league in respect for players.” Whether or not this becomes a major issue immediately, his near-exit from the Packers franchise makes a bit more sense.

The Packers are one of the most storied franchises, and they have one of the strongest fan bases in the NFL. If these reports are fully factual, the organization may have a lot to answer for.
