Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is currently contemplating whether to return next season and try to win one more Super Bowl ring or to call it a career and focus on his upcoming marriage to global pop sensation Taylor Swift.
However, an old flame of Kelce’s continues to make headlines. Kayla Nicole, Kelce’s ex-girlfriend, recently appeared on WNBA superstar Angel Reese’s podcast and got vulnerable about her love life, although this time Kelce wasn’t involved.
“We weren’t in a relationship, but this is probably one of my favorite crazy Kayla stories, because I don’t have that many. But I’m a scorpio, and I have that crazy in me, though. I was dating a guy, and he dumped me through a text message, and he dumped me for this singer/actress,” [Nicole said, according to PEOPLE](https://people.com/kayla-nicole-tells-crazy-story-about-dressing-up-as-an-ex-s-new-gf-teyana-taylor-reacts-with-a-taylor-swift-song-8727503).
“Dumped me for her. Lied about it for months, then popped out with her and became this public thing. I dressed up as her. I dressed up as that lady for Halloween.”
Nicole landed in some hot water for her revelation after internet sleuths were able to deduce that she was talking about Iman Shumpert and Teyana Taylor. However, Shumpert revealed that she sent him a clear apology message, which he appreciated.

Nicole has not yet publicly addressed any of the backlash she’s receiving.
