NFL analyst Tony Dungy may be out of a job at NBC next season.

Sources say dropping the 70-year-old Dungy is part of an effort to slim down its cast after many studio analyst contracts came to an end following the Super Bowl.
The broadcaster declined to comment about the possible move, the report said.
Dungy, who coached the Indianapolis Colts, Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers after playing three years in the league as a defensive back, has been with NBC for 17 seasons.
Hall of fame coach
During the 2006 season, the Pro Football Hall of Fame coach guided the Colts to victory over the Chicago Bears in Super Bowl XLI.
While no final decision has been made, bosses at NBC could change their mind and instead employ him in a reduced role.
This past season saw Maria Taylor host the NFL show alongside insider Mike Florio, fantasy analyst Matthew Berry, reporter Jac Collinsworth and statistician Steve Kornacki. Former players Devin McCourty, Jason Garrett, Chris Simms and Rodney Harrison were also analysts.
Dungy, Harrison and Collinsworth attended games while the rest of the crew was in the studio.
Top names considered
The report said top names that NBC could target for the show’s overhaul include former Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, and veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins, who is expected to be cut by the Atlanta Falcons.
Aaron Rodgers would be a longshot as the 42-year-old QB may want to play another season with the Steelers.
