How Desire Doue feels about potential Chelsea vs PSG Champions League tie

Desire Doue and Paris Saint-Germain could get a shot at revenge against Chelsea in the Champions League knockout round.

In Friday’s draw, PSG will be drawn against either Chelsea or Barcelona in the last 16.

The last time PSG and Chelsea faced off was in the Club World Cup final last July, with the Blues coming out as 3-0 victors.

Luis Enrique has admitted PSG need to fix some things if they do meet Chelsea again after what happened in the US.

Desire Doue tells Chelsea and Barcelona PSG are ready

Doue does not seem as concerned as Enrique, warning Chelsea and Barcelona that PSG are prepared to take on either of them.

Speaking to UEFA after PSG’s game against AS Monaco on Wednesday night, Doue said: “These two matches are going to be really nice. We’re confident and we’re ready to face whichever team it is.”

Chelsea’s danger men will be Cole Palmer and Joao Pedro after the two attackers put PSG to the sword in the Club World Cup final.

Palmer bagged a brace, while Pedro scored a nice chip. Right now, the Brazilian is in fantastic form, so he could easily hurt the French champions again.

Doue himself could also end up being a protagonist in any potential fixture between PSG and Chelsea.

Chelsea need to watch out for Desire Doue after Club World Cup final

While Chelsea were excellent against PSG last July, the Ligue 1 outfit were obviously not at their best.

Individually, though, Doue did not put in the worst performance. If Chelsea do get drawn against PSG, he is someone they are going to have to pay particular attention to.

Doue is a very good dribbler and showed that in his side’s defeat to the Blues. That day, the 20-year-old completed four out of five dribbles, according to Sofascore.

Doue also managed to get a couple of shots away, but Robert Sanchez was at the top of his game during that match. Hopefully he has what it takes to stop Doue and PSG again should a rematch in the Champions League take place.
