The Arizona Cardinals reportedly finished 31st in the annual report cards created by the NFL Players Association, according to ESPN’s Kalyn Kahler.
It’s a one-spot improvement from Arizona’s last-place finish the year prior.
Kahler adds 1,759 NFL players provided input on the report cards. They were polled from Nov. 2 to Dec. 11 of last year.
Since the report cards were first created, the Cardinals have never ranked better than 27th:
2023: 31st
2024: 27th
2025: 32nd
2026: 31st
In previous years, the report cards were posted with details to the NFLPA website and included plenty of breakdowns from team owner to cafeteria.
This time around, however, the report cards are now internal after the NFL won a grievance filed against the NFLPA to not make the scores public.
Despite the ruling, the NFLPA still gathered responses from players internally.
“The ruling upholds our right to survey players and share the results with players and clubs. While we strongly disagree with the restriction on making those results public, that limitation does not stop the program or its impact,” the NFLPA statement said on Feb. 13. “Players will continue to receive the results, and teams will continue to hear directly from their locker rooms.
“Importantly, the arbitrator rejected the NFL’s characterization of the process, finding the Team Report Cards to be fair, balanced and increasingly positive over time. Our methodology is sound. The team report cards exist to serve players. That mission remains unchanged. We will continue working to ensure players’ experiences are heard, respected, and acted on — by their teams, by their union, and wherever else possible.”
Arizona’s locker room amenities have been a primary sore spot since the report cards were first created. As for head coach, which was a category added in 2024, Arizona saw no less than an A- with Jonathan Gannon running the show the past two years.
Arizona is planning to open a new performance facility and team headquarters with a target date to open in summer 2028 after the team breaks for training camp.
The move will replace the team’s current practice facility in Tempe.
