New York Jets Head Coach Goes Viral For Falling Asleep at NFL Combine

New York Jets fans are tired.

Apparently, their head coach, Aaron Glenn, is also exhausted following a viral moment at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis.

Glenn did not get the axe, as many thought he would, after a disappointing first season, and the Jets will once again pick within the top two selections of the NFL Draft.

While Glenn has the confidence of the Jets’ brain trust for at least one more season, the former Detroit Lions defensive coordinator won’t have that same security if they repeat the same record from 2025 next season.

The upcoming 2026 NFL Draft in Pittsburgh is not only important for Glenn’s future in New York, but it could also be the difference between him being the lead man in charge for years to come or being out of a job before we flip the calendar to 2027.

Glenn was in the upper suites overseeing tests for the prospects on the field, but the NFL Network cameras caught the Jets head coach possibly drifting off to sleep before someone or something alerted him to regain his focus.

It’s another moment of frustration for Jets fans. Although this little moment would be turned into a simple meme or brushed aside in most franchises, the Jets, who haven’t made the postseason in 15 years, can’t afford small slips.

The Jets are attempting to change their image in the rest of the NFL with Glenn as their leader, but Thursday’s clip has only brought more negative attention to the New York franchise.

For Glenn, it doesn’t matter if he passes out on camera for the next two months. If the Jets can strike gold with the No. 2 overall pick and that player is instantly a contender for one of the two Rookie of the Year awards, then his job should be safe.

But in a world where the Jets don’t capitalize on either of their two first-round choices and then go on to have another losing season, Glenn’s afternoon dreams will soon turn into nightmares.
