New York Jets head coach Aaron Glenn was caught looking like he was sleeping while watching the NFL Combine.

On Thursday, defensive tackles, edge-rushers, and linebackers took to the field at Lucas Oil Stadium to test their athleticism with the whole of the NFL watching. Well, almost all of the NFL.

Glenn is in attendance to see who the Jets might take with the No. 2 overall pick, especially with stars like Arvell Reese and David Bailey set to be available and the franchise having several needs. Bailey, in particular, had a blink-and-you-might-miss-it performance in the 40-yard dash that stunned NFL fans in Indianapolis and beyond.

It’s unclear if Glenn missed it. But the Jets head coach certainly didn’t cover himself in glory as he was filmed clearly struggling to keep his eyes open during the Combine.

NFL Network cameras found Glenn with his head resting on his fist. His eyes were very clearly closed, only for him to suddenly open his eyes and change arms, trying to look busy and awake.

The NFL Network broadcast team decided not to say anything, or maybe Rich Eisen and co. simply missed that Glenn was resting his eyes. Given that he is a Jets fan, Eisen is probably numb to it by now.

Fans didn't hold back upon seeing Glenn seemingly asleep. One fan wrote: "He did that all season too."

"Falling asleep on the clock is his superpower!" wrote another. Some were more supportive though, posting: "Aye mannnn yall chill on my coach dawg , he was just resting his eyes."

Perhaps Glenn was tired because the Jets were out making deals on Thursday. Jermaine Johnson was traded to the Tennessee Titans for defensive tackle T’Vondre Sweat, marking the first trade of the 2026 offseason.

Heading into the Combine on the back of a dismal 3-14 record, Glenn hopes to see progress as the Jets look to end the longest playoff drought across all major league sports. Speaking to the media on Tuesday, Glenn said: “At some point, you have to bury it, but you also never forget.

“Last year was a tough season, and I know that. The coaching staff knows that; the players know that. So, it's our job to change the narrative, and the only way you change that narrative is by winning.”

Glenn outlined that establishing a winning culture is the Jets' priority. He added: “We’re trying to schematically make sure that we're on point so that when these players come in, we have an ironclad scheme that they're going to buy into and it's going to help them be successful.

“It all starts with how we operate as a coaching staff. [The players] look at us and they get their answers from us. And then once they get those answers, they start to formulate exactly how they're going to operate in that locker room, and that's when that culture starts to build. We're looking forward to this offseason.”
