Uh’s Kansei Matsuzawa kicks at NFL Combine

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Former University of Hawaii kicking sensation Kansei Matsuzawa showed off his skills at the 2026 NFL Combine.

The ‘Tokyo Toe’ was invited to took part in the NFL Specialists showcase on Wednesday.

Matsuzawa is a member of the NFL’s International Player Pathway Program — giving opportunities to players from around the globe to chase NFL dreams.

The showcase gave NFL scouts the opportunity to see Matsuzawa kick before the combine officially began on Thursday

Matsuzawa is UH’s first consensus All-American after shattering multiple kicking records this past season including Jason Elam’s consecutive-made streak.

Kansei hoping to catch the eyes of NFL teams and become the first Japanese-born player to make an NFL roster.
