Arsenal are still in the driver’s seat of the Premier League, but with Manchester City mounting a comeback again, the Gunners know they will need to be active once more in the summer 2026 transfer window.
According to top transfer reporter Fabrizio Romano, via Eduardo Hagn, the North London powerhouse are eyeing three positions to make potential signings in the summer: a new winger, center midfielder, and a young right back are all on the radar.
Each of these positions makes sense. Arsenal signed Noni Madueke on the right wing and have plenty of young up-and-coming players worth watching in addition to stars Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka, but the Gunners have been in need of a truly world-class left wing option for years now.
They have watched other clubs make those splash signings, so in summer 2026, if someone like Rodrygo Goes or Nico Williams is available from La Liga, they just might pounce.
A young right back to compete with their current young standout, Jurrien Timber, makes a ton of sense, especially if they want someone with a more attacking skill-set to pair with him to help Saka tuck inside for more goals.
Finally, even though Arsenal have the best center midfield tandem in the Premier League between Declan Rice and Martin Zubimendi, as well as a great tandem of backups in Mikel Merino and Christian Norgaard, Mikel Arteta always wants more. Watch out for Newcastle star Sandro Tonali here.
