The NFL Players Association’s 2026 report card for all 32 teams is in, and perhaps the losing record had an impact on the Chiefs’ grades.
Compared to last season, players dinged the organization in several categories and even handed out one F — for the locker room.
The survey results were obtained and reported originally by ESPN. The grades are based on responses from 1,759 players. The survey was conducted from Nov. 2-Dec. 11, 2025.
In categories where a direct comparison can be made to the prior year’s survey result, the Chiefs dropped in several areas. The biggest: team travel. Chiefs players gave the team a D-minus, compared to the B they gave the organization the year before.
There were some new categories this season, including grades for the coordinators. The Chiefs’ defensive coordinator, Steve Spagnuolo, got an A; offensive coordinator Matt Nagy — now with the New York Giants — received a C-plus; and special teams coordinator Dave Toub got a B.
The Chiefs’ position coaches were given a C-plus.
Chiefs head coach Andy Reid received an A, general manager Brett Veach a B-plus. Ownership, led by chairman and SEO Clark Hunt, received a C-plus, up from a C-minus the previous year.
The Chiefs finished 6-11 in 2025, ending a streak of nine straight AFC West championships and seven straight appearances in the AFC Championship Game. It was the organization’s first losing record since Reid took over for the 2013 season.
