A massive decision has been made. It will tear up Liverpool's €35m transfer plan.

Liverpool are building their transfer plans ahead of the summer window. They've certainly got work to do, too, after a disappointing season on the back of their biggest-ever spend.

Biggest-ever by far, in fact.

It was a window that should have improved on a title-winning group. Instead, things have moved backwards and that almost certainly means investing further in order to get things back on track.

Reports about potential transfers are certainly developing and it's becoming somewhat clear that Liverpool have specific positions in mind. However, one of their potential targets may now be off the market for now.

And that would change things.

Liverpool's Allan plan

Liverpool have consistently been linked with a move for Allan over the last few weeks. The Palmeiras star looks set to depart the club at some point and the Reds are supposedly the preferred bidder.

Or maybe that should be 'looked'. Liverpool will apparently need to wait if they want to sign the 21-year-old, with Portal Do Palestra claiming that Palmeiras want to keep their player for the remainder of 2026.
