An enquiry from Real Madrid as to the availability of Gabriel Magalhaes has been firmly rebuffed by Arsenal.
The Spanish giants are looking for a defensive rebuild this summer, and believed that the Brazilian was an ideal candidate to become a leader at the back for them.
But the Gunners have made it clear that he is not for sale at any price, whilst the player himself, having signed a new long-term contract at the Emirates last year, is happy in North London.
In fact Arsenal are determined to hang on to all their key stars. William Saliba, Gabriel’s defensive partner, has also committed his long-term future to the club, as has Bukayo Saka, the talisman of the Mikel Arteta project.
Jurrien Timber is close to agreeing terms on an extension to his current deal, and Declan Rice and Kai Havertz are the next in line for discussions with Sporting Director Andrea Berta.
