Phil Parkinson's side go into tomorrow's game at The Valley on the back of two straight wins which leaves the Reds sixth in the table.
Wrexham beat high-flying Ipswich Town 5-3 in a remarkable game at The Racecourse last Saturday and followed it up by registering a hard-fought 2-1 success against Portsmouth at the same venue on Tuesday.
Now the aim is to make it a hat-trick of wins against 17th placed Charlton before the Reds host Premier League giants Chelsea in a mouthwatering FA Cup fifth round tie next Saturday.
"It really puts us in good stead to go down to Charlton where we know we can really attack that on Saturday," said Dobson.
"We're going to have great backing in London and try and wrap up the week with the nine points.
"It could be the end of a great week but it's going to be a really tough game."
Dobson spent three seasons with Charlton before joining Wrexham in the summer of 2024 and although he's looking forward to seeing some familiar faces, he's focussed on the job in hand.
"I'm really looking forward to it. I've got a lot of good friends there and loved my time there," he said.
"It'll be nice to see a few faces but ultimately, I really want to get the result because it will top off a fantastic week and then we can go into the Chelsea game full of excitement and enjoyment to attack that one."
But talk about facing star-studded Chelsea has been put on hold in the Wrexham dressing room.
"It's full focus on Charlton because we know how important that game is," added Dobson.
"But as a group, we'll just put a massive effort into that and if we can really put a strong performance in and hopefully get a good result, it will then set us up for a fantastic week looking forward to what is going to be a wonderful game (against Chelsea) and a wonderful occasion for everyone involved.
"When we come back in on Monday, the excitement leading into that one will be there because it is going to be a fantastic occasion.
"But before Saturday, there definitely won't be any talk about the Chelsea game."
It's already been a good week on and off the pitch for Dobson who has signed a contract extension, keeping him in north Wales until the end of the 2027-28 season.
"I'm delighted," added Dobson, who was a promotion winner in his first campaign with the Reds.
"Really thankful to everyone at the club for putting their faith in me and making me feel so welcome.
"To be rewarded with that, I was obviously chuffed.
"I have loved my time here, it's been special memories already, and I'm just hoping we can create even more."
