Liverpool FC finances: Record £703m revenue after title win and Champions League return

Liverpool FC have reported record revenue for the last accounting year, covering the 2024/25 title-winning season.

Liverpool FC Finances 2024/25: At a Glance

Overall revenue increased by £89m to £703m

Media (TV) revenue increased by £60m, largely due to Champions League

Matchday revenue, aided by first full season with Anfield Road Stand, increased by £14m

Administrative and staff costs increased by a combined £99m

Profit after tax was £8m

The results cover Liverpool’s 2024/25 season, with the year ending May 31, 2025.

Liverpool achieved record revenues of over £700 million and were the highest-placed Premier League club in the Deloitte Football Money League, with a profit after tax of £8 million.

It is a significant change from the year before, when the club reported a £57 million loss – largely due to their absence from the Champions League in 2023/24.

Why Liverpool have made record £703m revenue in 2024/25

The improved results owe much to the increased media (TV) revenue from the club reaching the Champions League quarter-finals, compared to the quarter-finals of the Europa League in the previous season.

This reporting period was the first full season operating the new Anfield Road Stand which supported the increase in matchday revenue, alongside on-pitch performance that saw the club win its second Premier League title in five years.

Commercial revenue continued to increase with strong growth in partnerships, retail and non-matchday events, including Anfield concerts with international superstars Taylor Swift and P!NK.

The accounting period, up to May 31, 2025, does not cover the £450 million spend on new signings last summer, or the new Adidas kit deal, with all three new kits being launched in August last year.

“The 2024/25 season is a great example of how this can work, with record revenues alongside the men’s team winning our 20th league title.
