Juventus are planning to discuss a new deal with Dusan Vlahovic in the coming weeks, with AC Milan watching from the sidelines.
According to today’s edition of Corriere dello Sport (via MilanPress), a meeting between Vlahovic’s entourage and the Juventus management has been scheduled. The parties will proceed with great caution, but a glimmer of hope has been created.
What has changed
Before his injury, Luciano Spalletti had put Vlahovic back at the centre of his plans. This confidence may change his mind, while the striker – with his professionalism and sense of belonging – has impressed the management.
The central issue remains his salary. Juventus are open to discussing a new deal, but on a different financial basis than in the past. The cap is clear: no more than €7m net per season per player, which is what Kenan Yıldız will get after his renewal.

The club want to understand whether the striker has already made his mind up to go elsewhere, or if he might be open to staying with a pay cut. The report mentions that Barcelona and Milan have enquired and are waiting for developments.
With Spalletti’s confidence and the new financial parameters, a permanent stay is no longer such a remote option. Much will depend on the player’s desire, as well as the club’s project.
