Based on the current Premier League table, the Reds would miss out on qualification, but according to the latest Opta Supercomputer simulation, Liverpool are predicted a top five finish.
The Supercomputer believes that Arsenal, Man City and Aston Villa will finish in the top three, but Liverpool will finish fourth on 64.57 points. Man United are predicted to finish fifth on 64.51 points, and Chelsea are predicted to finish sixth on 61.16 points. Brentford are an outsider, and are predicted to finish seventh on 55.92 points.
In terms of percentage chance, it says that Liverpool have a 47.02% chance to qualify for the Champions League, which is a better chance than Man United (45.18%), and Chelsea (20.04%). Brentford (1.71%) also remain in the hunt, although they aren’t backed as heavily as the other three.
How does Liverpool’s run-in look?
In terms of fixtures remaining in the Premier League for Liverpool, they have a very attractive run of fixtures all the way up to early May.
Liverpool face relegation battling sides West Ham, Wolves and Tottenham in their next three games. After that, they have favourable games against Brighton, Fulham, Everton and Crystal Palace.
The games then get tougher in May, and they could decide Liverpool and Slot’s fate, with the Reds facing Man United, Chelsea, Aston Villa and Brentford in their final four matches.
