Newcastle United have drawn Barcelona/Chelsea in the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League.
Following a 9-3 aggregate win over Qarabag in our play-off tie, Newcastle will face a two-legged tie with the La Liga giants, with a place in April’s quarter-finals up for grabs.
The dates for our home and away legs have not been confirmed, but we know the first leg will be on Tuesday 10th or Wednesday 11th March, with the away trip coming on Tuesday 17th or Wednesday 18th March.
Beat Barcelona over two legs and we will take on the winners of Atletico Madrid vs Spurs, handing us a huge opportunity to go deep in the competition should we overcome the Catalans, with our side of the draw seeing us avoid big hitters like PSG, Liverpool, Man City, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.
