Liam Rosenior has handed Chelsea a boost ahead of Sunday’s trip to the Emirates, revealing that Romeo Lavia has emerged unscathed from a private behind-closed-doors match at Cobham.
Romeo Lavia‘s return is hotly anticipated after missing 23 competitive games in the current campaign for Chelsea, and it may not be long.
The midfielder has already been in action for the Under-21 side of late. Frequently, Lavia was given the ball under pressure, and he dealt with it well every time.
It’s a promising sign for a player who has spent so much time out on the sidelines, with a return edging ever closer for Romeo Lavia.
And Liam Rosenior had a further update for us ahead of the Arsenal clash.

Romeo Lavia comes through a training match at Cobham
Kieran Gill took to X to sum up Lavia’s performance in a training match.
‘CFC had a mini practice match this week at Cobham and Rosenior says Lavia looked “really good” in it’
This wasn’t all that was said, as Rosenior gave fans a little bit more.
“Reece is absolutely fine. Romeo Lavia is getting stronger and stronger. Este will be out for a little bit longer. Jamie is progressing well. Cucu is progressing really, really well – but he’s not available for Sunday.”
