An NFL receiver has brought a lot of negative attention to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this week after his ex-girlfriend revealed a wild cheating scandal.
Tez Johnson made his NFL debut in 2025 after being drafted in the seventh round from the Oregon Ducks. However, despite his on-field successes last season he’s now at the center of an internet scandal with his former fiancee.

Laila Thompson-Wainer took to TikTok recently to discuss Johnson’s alleged infidelity, but the story gets crazier. According to the NFL receiver’s ex, Johnson apparently cheated on Thompson-Wainer hours after asking her to marry him.

In the detailed five-minute social media tale, Johnson’s former lover discussed the intimate details of their relationship and the severe cheating allegations.

The infidelity story involved Johnson allegedly stated that the Buccaneers pass catcher planned a romantic day and proposal for his ex-girlfriend before ultimately reaching out to another former flame.
“For some reason,” Thompson-Wainer, a part-time Seattle Seahawks worker, stated in her video, “You cheat before and after you propose, the morning of and the night — that’s just something that I will never understand. I’ve given up on trying to understand how someone can be that evil.

“I think you just have to be a sociopath. And that’s just it at the end of the day.”

Tez Johnson is the adopted brother of Denver Broncos star quarterback Bo Nix. Both former college football standouts played together at Oregon before being drafted to their respective NFL franchises.
During his debut season, Johnson caught five touchdown passes and finished the 2025 campaign with over 322 yards. This comes despite the fact that Tampa Bay missing out on the postseason.
