The date of Manchester City's Champions League last-16 clash with Real Madrid have been confirmed by UEFA following Friday morning's draw.

Pep Guardiola's men will meet the 15-time European champions in the first round of the knockout stage after finishing in the top eight. Real were forced to play a two-legged play-off against Benfica to seal their spot.

It's the fifth straight season the two clubs have met, with City coming out on top only in 2023 - when they won the competition. The date of the both legs and kick-off times have since been revealed by UEFA.

The first leg at the Santiago Bernabeu will take place on Wednesday, March 11 at 8pm, in-between the FA Cup trip to Newcastle United and Premier League away game at West Ham. Los Blancos will then travel to the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday, March 17, prior to the home game against Crystal Palace.

City have already faced Real this season, winning 2-1 in Spain back in December. Nico O'Reilly and Erling Haaland were among the scorers in a vital win for the Citizens' top eight finish.

On the same night as the mouth-watering first-leg, Arsenal travel to Bayer Leverkusen in the earlier kick-off (5.45pm), followed by Bodo/Glimt vs Sporting CP and Paris Saint-Germain vs Chelsea.

Should City overcome Real and qualify for the quarter-final, they will take on the winners of Atalanta vs Bayern Munich. Then, a semi-final with Liverpool, PSG, Chelsea or Galatasaray will wait them.
