“Liability Issues”: Georgia Bulldogs Prospect Held Out of Combine Drills

The 2026 NFL Scouting Combine kicks off its second day of drills and workouts at Lucas Oil Stadium at 2 p.m. CT. This session will feature cornerbacks, safeties, and tight ends showcasing their skills in front of scouts, assistant coaches, head coaches, and general managers. Highlighting one of the participants is Georgia Bulldogs’ tight end Oscar Delp.

Delp enjoyed a solid four-year career, stepping in for Brock Bowers as the starting tight end these past two seasons, logging 24 of 28 starts. He wrapped up his career with 70 receptions for 854 yards and nine touchdowns, including 20 for 261 and one touchdown in 2025. With his exceptional blocking skills and solid receiving, Delp could soar on draft boards and boost his stock with a successful workout.

However, he will need to wait to impress scouts and others at a later date.

During a routine medical exam at the combine, an X-ray revealed a hairline fracture in Oscar Delp’s foot, signaling that he played the entire season with the ailment. According to Zach Klein of WSB-Ch.2 Atlanta, the Bulldogs’ tight end will not be allowed to participate in combine drills. Although Delp wanted to participate, his goal is to attend Georgia’s Pro Day on March 18.

NFL league source tells me Georgia Bulldog’s TE Oscar Delp can’t go through combine drills here in Indy due to liability issues. Apparently,

Delp played ENTIRE season with a hairline fracture in his foot and it was accidentally found on a routine x-ray. I’m told Delp wants to…

How can you run in 3 weeks if you can’t run now fracture is just a nicer way of saying you broke your foot

How can it be known it was fractured the entire season when it was just discovered?

I mean he checks the box on team first mentality. Wonder if he was even aware of the injury

How would he slip? Premium at catching and blocking

Fracture in foot “disappears” in 3 weeks or there are different guidelines with pro day than the combine?
