Jayden Danns has returned to training for Liverpool for the first time since suffering a hamstring injury in September, with fans noticing the same thing

Following a five-month spell on the treatment table, Jayden Danns has given Liverpool fans fresh cause for optimism. The 20-year-old has returned to training for the first time since sustaining a serious hamstring injury back in September.
The striker, whose father is former Premier League midfielder Neil Danns, has been out of the public eye since that setback. Yet it's taken virtually no time for the Reds prospect to begin showcasing his quality again among his academy colleagues.
Supporters were largely united in their response after catching their first glimpse of the forward in nearly six months. Danns has netted 29 times in 48 appearances across Liverpool's under-18s and under-21s, with fans eager to see him replicate that output at senior level.
At the bare minimum, he certainly possesses the physical attributes to compete alongside the first-team squad. That was a recurring observation among supporters after Liverpool's official YouTube channel offered a behind-the-scenes glimpse at his comeback to action.
"Danns is huge," wrote one commenter, clearly convinced the youngster has shot up during his spell on the sidelines. He was already standing at roughly six feet tall when he picked up his injury, though at just 20, it's entirely feasible he hasn't yet reached his full height.
Others couldn't hide their excitement, with one supporter hailing Danns as "the next starboy." Not every response was quite so measured, mind you, as another fan simply declared: "DANNS IS SOOOOO BACK."
One supporter even raised the question of whether the emerging talent was ready to be thrown straight into first-team contention. More level-headed fans were quick to intervene, however, reminding that rushing him back too soon would only risk stunting his long-term development again.

Expectations are sky-high for what lies ahead for Danns. Physically, he certainly appears to tick the boxes required to thrive at the very highest level.
Furthermore, he's already netted three goals (all in the FA Cup) across 10 senior appearances for the club he's supported since childhood. He spent a portion of last season on loan at Sunderland but failed to make a single appearance for the Black Cats because of a back injury.
He certainly has his work cut out given the formidable options currently available to Arne Slot. Alexander Isak has been ruled out for several months with a broken leg, but the Premier League's record signing and Hugo Ekitike represent a formidable partnership to dislodge once back to full strength.
For the time being, though, Danns' sole priority should be focused entirely on regaining his own fitness. And it's evident a considerable portion of the club's supporters are firmly behind him in that pursuit.
