"I think he could actually..." - Liverpool have now been hit with absolutely massive exit claim

**Liverpool star man Dominik Szoboszlai is eyeing a move to Real Madrid at the end of the season, according to a big claim from former Everton CEO Keith Wyness.**

The Hungarian has been far and away the Reds’ best player this season, producing a string of influential performances, whether it be in midfield, the No. 10 role or at right-back.

Szoboszlai’s displays have reportedly [caught the eye of Madrid](https://live4liverpool.com/liverpool-are-reportedly-closing-on-on-mega-money-contract-extension-for-dominik-szoboszlai/), however, which may understandably be causing alarm at Anfield, as Liverpool look to tie him down to a new deal.

Speaking to [_Football Insider_](https://www.footballinsider247.com/dominik-szoboszlai-eyeing-up-a-move-to-real-madrid-as-liverpool-exit-fears-grow/), Wyness talked up the idea of the 25-year-old moving to the Santiago Bernabeu in the summer transfer window, even though no concrete reports are saying he will:

_“Yeah, he was somebody that the fans were talking about for a while. He didn’t like him, he wasn’t doing well now.  He’s the best player in the squad, first name on the team sheet. And it was Marco Rossi, think, his Hungarian national team manager, who said that his dream was to play for Real Madrid. And I think he could actually do that._

_“I think he showed you enough that Madrid could be interested. And I think that could be something that Liverpool have to watch for at the end of the season. Look, you know, there’s form for Real Madrid taking Liverpool players, as we know. And I think Szoboszlai could be one of those that could well be eyeing up a move down there.”_

**Liverpool must hand Dominik Szoboszlai huge new contract**

------------------------------------------------------------

Szoboszlai has now made himself one of the very first names on Arne Slot’s team sheet, in a season in which he has possibly even become a world-class player.

The Hungary captain has starred with both his quality and leadership, proving to be the closest thing to Steven Gerrard that Liverpool have had since the Reds legend left the club in 2015.

The lure of Madrid is enormous, especially as some rumours have claimed that Szoboszlai supported them growing up, so the threat of them is real.

Hopefully, though, he knows how valued he is at Liverpool and is handed the new contract he deserves, becoming an icon at Anfield over the next seven or eight years.
