**Liverpool are reportedly ready to come close to breaking their transfer record to sign RB Leipzig star Yan Diomande.**
In the summer transfer window, the Reds spent £125million signing Alexander Isak from Newcastle United. So, to consider that Anfield chiefs consider Diomande to be as worthy of such an investment should tell you a thing or two about the 19-year-old.
Arne Slot’s team has sorely lacked players capable of using a bit of individual brilliance to beat a man in 1v1 situations. Mohamed Salah’s form has decreased drastically compared to last season’s excellence, while Cody Gakpo’s predictability has harmed his dribbling efficiency.
Diomande, on the other hand, has a wonderful knack for finding space where it doesn’t exist.
His addition to this Liverpool squad would greatly increase their attacking output for next season given the talent they have at striker.
