Desperate Arsenal star instructs agent to work on summer exit; giant club lurking with intent

It's not all sunshine and rainbows at Arsenal, even if they've reaffirmed their position as champions-elect, and one of Mikel Arteta's star men is now desperate to leave.

Arsenal discover Champions League route

Top of the Premier League with the FA Cup to play for, a Carabao Cup final against Manchester City awaiting them and now the best draw that they could ask for in the Champions League. As far as Arteta is concerned, life is bliss at the Emirates right now.

Fresh from thrashing North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur last time out, the Gunners have discovered the route that they'll need to take if they want to reach the Champions League final.

With Bayer Leverkusen awaiting, Arsenal have managed to avoid Bayern Munich, Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain on their side of the draw.

Should they advance past Leverkusen, the Gunners will face Bodo/Glimt or Sporting Club, before potentially setting up a semi-final against one of Newcaslte United, Tottenham, Barcelona or Atletico Madrid. It is the most routine path that they could ask for.

Arteta's most expensive defender ever now looks finished at Arsenal

For all of Arsenal's defensive success, Mikel Arteta must look to sell a struggling defender this summer.

Champions League victory would likely eclipse any Premier League achievement in North London, too. Europe's biggest prize has desperately eluded Arsenal throughout their history, but this year they could kill two birds with one stone in what would be an incredible achievement.

Even with all that on the table, however, Andrea Berta still has one eye on the summer transfer window. The sporting director has reportedly set his sights on the likes of Honest Ahanor and could also be a busy man on the exit front.

As Arsenal continue to add strength in depth, keeping hold of certain players will inevitably prove to be more and more difficult.

Gabriel Jesus desperate to leave Arsenal

One player who is seemingly suffering from the Gunners' success is Gabriel Jesus. According to reports in Italy, as relayed by Sport Witness, Jesus is now desperate to leave Arsenal and has instructed his new agent to find an exit route.

As a result, the Brazilian is now attracting serious interest from Juventus, who are willing to table a convincing offer to his camp, as well as fellow Italian giants AC Milan.

Whether Arteta opens the door for the striker to leave this summer is now the big question. Viktor Gyokeres' inconsistency at times has forced the Spaniard to turn to Jesus this season, but the Swede's recent form suggests that Jesus will be needed less and less at the Emirates.

Having struggled with injuries ever since arriving in North London, if this is to be Jesus' final season at Arsenal then he may go down as a case of what might have been.

Meanwhile, if the Gunners do allow him to leave, it would highlight just how much they trust Gyokeres.
