Lions’ Terrion Arnold denies alleged link to robbery, kidnapping case in Florida

INDIANAPOLIS — Detroit Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold is denying his alleged link to an armed robbery and kidnapping case in Florida after his name appeared in court documents this week.

Arnold’s attorney released a statement on Friday afternoon after a seven-page court order issued by Hillsborough County Circuit Judge J. Logan Murphy described his alleged connection. The Lions cornerback’s attorney, Timothy Jansen, said after speaking to the lead prosecutor, “It has been confirmed that no charges have been filed against Mr. Arnold in connection with this matter.”

In the order issued on Feb. 24, Murphy wrote that Arnold and his friends “decided to take matters into their own hands” after the cornerback’s Airbnb rental in Largo, Florida, was robbed twice. Arnold had designer bags, $100,000 in cash, an $80,000 neckless and his NFL-issued phone stolen, per court documents.

This incident is said to have come after Arnold hired Yan Lopez as a private driver. After hiring Lopez, Arnold’s rental was robbed, and he allegedly began to suspect Lopez of having a role in the incidents.

The order details how three people were allegedly lured to a Tampa apartment just after midnight on Feb. 4, one day after Arnold filed a police report with the Largo Police Department about the burglaries.

“There, one of the co-defendants stuck the barrel of his firearm into Lopez’s mouth, demanding he return the stolen property and Arnold’s phone,” the court documents read. “Before the victims left, the co-defendants took their phones and wallets. This was all done ostensibly to get Lopez, (Daniel) Tenesaca, and (Soljah) Anderson to admit that they stole the property from the Airbnb, which they never do. Indeed, there is no evidence that any of the victims is involved in the theft.”

Five people have been arrested in connection, including Boakai Hilton, Arianna Devalle (named in court documents as Arnold’s girlfriend), Jasmine Randazzo, Lyndell Hudson and Christion Williams.

Arnold’s representation previously disputed claims that Hudson was his security guard, and there is no relation between him and Williams. Now, Arnold’s attorney, Jansen, said that Del Valle is not Arnold’s girlfriend and that “both assertions are false, misleading and entirely unsupported by the record.”

Del Valle and Randazzo face three counts of armed robbery and three counts of kidnapping. Hudson and Williams are charged with three counts of armed robbery, three counts of kidnapping and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. Hilton is accused of orchestrating the retaliation while traveling from Tallahassee with Arnold, per the order granting the state’s motion for his pretrial detention. Hilton faces six felony charges for his alleged role.

“To be clear, Mr. Arnold had no involvement whatsoever in the activities that led to those arrests,” Jansen said in the statement. “He did not participate in, nor was he present for, any conduct related to the alleged offenses. There is no evidence in police reports, text messages, or witness statements that implicates Mr. Arnold in any way.

“Recent media coverage has referenced an Order issued by Circuit Judge J. Logan Murphy, which improperly suggests Mr. Arnold’s involvement in the incident. Mr. Arnold categorically denies these unfounded claims and maintains his complete innocence. He was not involved in the crimes allegedly committed on February 4, 2026, in Tampa, Florida.”

Arnold, 22, was a first-round pick in the 2024 NFL draft out of Alabama. He has started 22 games across his first two seasons in Detroit.
