Chelsea forward Marc Guiu has not handed in a transfer request, according to journalist Simon Johnson.
The Athletic‘s Chelsea correspondent posted on his X account that the Spaniard is not pushing for a move away from Stamford Bridge:
“There has been a bit of noise lately that Marc Guiu has handed in a transfer request because he wants to leave Chelsea. I am told this is not the case.
“The striker still loves being at the club and is focused on doing whatever he can to help the team this season.”

Guiu has been messed around a bit by Chelsea
While it appears that the striker is happy with his situation at the moment, you could not have blamed him if he were feeling rather unhappy.
Guiu was originally loaned out for the season to Sunderland, but he was recalled within weeks to replace Nicolas Jackson.
Since then, the 20-year-old has played 468 minutes in total, including just one start in the Premier League, which came against Sunderland back in late October. He has not even featured in a league game since the beginning of December, when he replaced the injured Liam Delap during a 0-0 draw versus Bournemouth. There will soon be even more competition up front
In addition to Jackson returning from his loan spell at Bayern Munich, Guiu will also have to contend with the arrival of Emmanuel Emegha from Strasbourg this summer.
Rather than getting closer to starting games for Chelsea, Guiu seems to be getting further away, and it would not be a surprise if he does move on to pasture’s new at the end of the campaign if head coach Liam Rosenior continues to use him sparingly over the next few months.
