Top free agent targets at wide receiver for Chicago Bears in 2026

NFL free agency for the 2026 offseason is set to begin in three weeks, and up until this point, all 32 franchises have spent ample time this offseason doing plenty of homework on some of the top names expected to hit the open market.

While the Chicago Bears enter 2026 with second-year head coach Ben Johnson, fifth-year general manager Ryan Poles, and third-year quarterback Caleb Williams, the franchise is looking to build on its first-place finish in the NFC North and second-round playoff appearance. Despite having a limited amount of cap space heading into free agency, the Bears could still decide to make some additions on offense, especially with the franchise looking to take another step forward toward becoming a true Super Bowl contender.

Heading into free agency, wide receiver isn't the biggest need on the roster. The Bears will have DJ Moore, Luther Burden III, and Rome Odunze all set to return next season. 2025 undrafted free agent Jahdae Walker is an ascending talent, while veteran Olamide Zaccheaus, who signed a one-year deal in free agency last year, will hit the open market.

Much of the Bears core is already in place at wide receiver next year, but the front office could decide that adding some depth to push players like Walker will create a lot of competition throughout OTAs and training camp. For a regime that has made every effort to upgrade any position when possible, the franchise could also decide that bringing in some veteran pass catchers is an excellent way to preserve valuable draft picks, which can then be spent on rebuilding the defense if needed.

Not every receiver that hits the open market will be in the Bears price range, but getting an idea of the talent available and price tag of each player will help set the stage for potential negotiations to occur.

Let's get into some of the top options at wide receiver for the Bears. Be sure to check back with the Bear Report for complete coverage of free agency and the Bears offseason.
