On the second day of the NFL Combine there were many prospects who helped improve their draft stock with strong performances. Here are four of the top tight end standouts from Day 2 of the 2026 NFL Combine.
Tight End Standouts From Day 2 of the NFL Combine
TE Eli Stowers, Vanderbilt
Eli Stowers had an elite performance at the NFL Combine. He broke the all-time NFL Combine vertical jump record for a tight end with an incredible 45.5-inch vertical jump. He also broke the all-time tight end broad jump record at the combine with an 11-foot-3 broad jump. On top of elite explosiveness, Stowers was also one of the fastest tight ends at the combine. His 4.51 40-yard dash time and 1.59 10-yard split time both rank tied for second among all tight ends at this year’s combine. Stowers is an undersized tight end, but he proved he also has elite athletic ability with a 9.47 unofficial relative athletic score. Stowers is projected to be a second-round pick and likely the second tight end selected in the draft.

TE Kenyon Sadiq, Oregon
Stowers is not the only tight end prospect who broke records on day two of the combine. Kenyon Sadiq broke the tight end 40-yard dash time record and became the first tight end ever to record a sub-4.4 40-yard dash time with an amazing 4.39 40-yard dash time. Along with breaking the tight end 40-yard dash record, Sadiq also had an elite vertical jump and broad jump. If it weren’t for Stowers breaking the record, Sadiq’s 43.50-inch vertical jump would’ve tied the original all-time tight end record. His 11-foot-1 board jump also ranks in the top three in NFL Combine history for a tight end. Sadiq scored a 9.44 unofficial relative athletic score and is projected to be the first tight end selected in the draft, with a great chance to go in the first round.

TE John Michael Gyllenborg, Wyoming
John Michael Gyllenborg measured in at 6-foot-6 and 249 pounds, and showed he has a very good combination of size, speed, and explosiveness at the combine. Gyllenborg ran a 4.60 40-yard dash time with a 1.60 10-yard split. He had a solid 35.5-inch vertical jump as well, and finished with the third-best broad jump behind only Stowers and Sadiq with a 10-foot-8 broad jump. He also posted the best 20-yard shuttle time for a tight end at the combine with a 4.22 shuttle time. Gyllenborg is one of the most explosive tight ends in the draft class, and with his athletic upside, could go early on Day 3 of the draft. He scored an unofficial 9.92 relative athletic score.
TE Sam Roush, Stanford
Sam Roush is a tight end with tremendous size for the position. He measured in at 6-foot-6 and 267 pounds. At his size, he ran a solid 4.70 40-yard dash time with a 1.61 10-yard split. He finished with the third-best tight end vertical jump with 38.5-inch vertical, and had the fourth-best board jump with a 10-foot-6 broad jump. He also did the agility tests, and tested very well with a 7.08 3-cone time and 4.37 shuttle time. Roush demonstrated an incredible combination of elite size and athletic ability. He scored an unofficial 9.93 relative athletic score and is projected to go early on Day 3 of the NFL Draft.
