Drake Maye, 23, put together one of the most impressive sophomore seasons a New England Patriots quarterback has seen since Tom Brady was setting records in Foxborough.
He finished the 2025 regular season throwing for 4,394 yards with 31 touchdowns and eight interceptions in 17 games. Maye guided New England to a 14–3 record and its first division title since 2019. Fans branded him “Tom Brady 2.0,” but while Brady won his first Super Bowl as a starter, Maye’s historic run ended in a 29–13 loss to the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl LX on Feb. 8.
Now, if the rumor making the rounds on social media is true, then his wife, Ann Michael, has been doing the film study too. And she allegedly made a long list of criticisms to roast her husband’s flop show during the NFL final.

Maye completed 27 passes from 43 attempts, 295 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions. Quite a decent production, since nearly all of it happened in garbage time. Through three quarters, he had only 60 passing yards.

The worst part? The Seahawks sacked him six times, and his two fourth-quarter interceptions ended the game. According to film review data, Maye had 11 “minus” plays and only six “plus” plays before the game was out of reach. It was all around a forgettable night for the North Carolina native.

His wife is far from a casual observer. Her father,Kevin Hudson, played at Wofford, and her brother Tad was Maye’s teammate at UNC before transferring to Coastal Carolina. Having that background, she collected that alleged list to criticize Mayes’ blunders during the game.
Maye and Michael met in middle school in North Carolina and began dating at age 12. They stayed together through high school, even after Drake transferred to Myers Park in Charlotte, and throughout their time at UNC. Following a beachside proposal in January 2025, they tied the Knot in June of the same year.

While Drake led the Patriots to the Super Bowl, Ann Michael built her own following.
