Arne Slot says Florian Wirtz will not be ready to play for Liverpool when they visit Wolves on Tuesday evening.
The German has missed each of Liverpool’s last two fixtures, having sat out of Saturday’s 5-2 win over West Ham.
Slot was questioned on Wirtz‘s fitness in the immediate aftermath of his team’s victory, and claimed that while Tuesday is likely to come too early, his No. 7 may be available for next weekend’s FA Cup tie.
Change my mind: Frimpong is now Liverpool’s best right winger
He did more in 13 minutes vs West Ham than Salah did all game 😶

Wirtz unavailable for Wolves
Liverpool supporters were surprised to see Wirtz ruled out of Saturday’s win after Slot had been optimistic he would be back available after missing last week’s win over Nottingham Forest.
And when questioned during his post-match press conference on how Wirtz’s recovery is going, the Liverpool head coach admitted that he could still be surprised in a positive or negative way once again.
“I think that [Tuesday’s game] will be too early,” said Slot. “But I said last week I didn’t expect him not to be available for today, so sometimes things can develop in a positive or negative way in an injury, now we are thinking it doesn’t have to be too long, but Tuesday will probably be too early.
“The week after will be tight as things stand now.”
