Notre Dame Fighting Irish running back Jeremiyah Love arrived at the 2026 NFL Combine in Indianapolis. After winning the Doak Walker Award as the nation’s top running back and finishing third in Heisman Trophy voting,he is looking sharp in his vision.
The best part? Unlike other prospects, he didn’t dodge reporters’ questions. Instead, he faced them and hilariously snubbed the Dallas Cowboys as America’s team by mentioning his father’s favorite franchise. And the clip is viral right now.

Love has established himself as the premier running back prospect for the 2026 NFL Draft following a record-breaking career at Notre Dame. He rushed for 1,372 yards and 18 touchdowns, adding 27 receptions for 280 yards and three receiving TDs.
He is currently the consensus RB1 for the 2026 class and is frequently projected to be selected within the first 10 picks. Standing 6 feet and weighing 214 pounds, his elite “home run” speed is backed by a decorated track background, including a Missouri state title in the 100-meter dash with a 10.76-second time.

Based on this background, scouts project his 40-yard dash at the Combine will be in the low 4.3s on Saturday’s drill.
“Just to showcase my skills,” he told reporters. “I’m not afraid to go out there and just be myself. I feel like I’m very fast. I feel like I’ve got some good moves in my bag, so why not go out there and run the 40, do some position drills.”
But it is his funny remark about Cowboys that is making rounds online. Love never directly said he didn’t want to be drafted by Dallas. Instead, he just made it very clear that his dad is not fond of Jerry Jones’ franchise.

The Cowboys finished the 2025 season 7-9-1, missing the playoffs and holding the 12th- and 20th-overall picks in the 2026 NFL Draft. While Love is projected as a top-10 pick, Dallas is focused on restructuring a defense that allowed 30.1 points per game in 2025.
