Olympic snowboarder Chloe Kim recently shared a humorous story about the start of her relationship with Cleveland Browns star Myles Garrett.
During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live on February 26, 2026, Kim admitted she originally mistook the NFL defensive end for Dutch DJ Martin Garrix. A mutual friend and physical therapist invited her to a Browns game against the Los Angeles Rams, but Kim misunderstood who she was there to see.
“I thought he said Martin Garrix, so the whole time I was at the game I was waiting for him to perform,”Kim told the late-night host. Because she was not a football fan at the time, she spent the first half of the game expecting an electronic music set rather than a defensive masterclass.
The couple eventually connected properly and went public with their romance at the Crunchyroll Anime Awards in Tokyo in May 2025. They officially confirmed the relationship in November 2025 with a sideline kiss at a Browns game.
Despite his status as one of the highest-paid players in the NFL, Garrett is known for a relatively simple lifestyle. He often avoids the spotlight, describing himself as “naturally a shy person”.
Instead of seeking constant public attention, he focuses on hobbies like collecting thoughtful cars and studying Japanese culture. Myles Garrett recently traveled to Italy to act as Kim’s “rock” during her silver-medal run at the 2026 Winter Olympics.
Myles Garrett sets historic NFL sack record during dominant 2025 campaign
The 2025 NFL season saw Myles Garrett reach a level of performance that rewrote league history. Earlier this month, Garrett was named the 2025 AP NFL Defensive Player of the Year after breaking thesingle-season sack record with 23 sacks. This historic tally surpassed the previous mark of 22.5 held by T.J. Watt and Michael Strahan.
Garrett’s dominance was statistically unmatched. He led the league with 33 tackles for loss and recorded 39 quarterback hits while facing a double-team rate of 57%.
In November 2025, he produced one of the most productive stretches for a defender in history, recording 14 sacks in just four games. He also became the youngest player to reach the 100-career sack milestone during the season. His 2025 performance earned him his fifth AP First Team All-Pro selection.
