NFL Combine: Fastest 40-Yard Dash Times for QBs

The 2026 NFL draft class is loaded at many positions, but quarterback isn't one of them.

Beyond Indiana's Fernando Mendoza, there's a big drop off in talent in the second tier of signal-callers.

Alabama's Ty Simpson is the only other QB scouts and draft experts believe could go in Round 1, but behind Simpson is a group that includes LSU's Garrett Nussmeier, Miami's Carson Beck, Clemson's Cade Klubnik, and Penn State's Drew Allar, who are projected as Day 2 picks.

Some QBs could boost their draft stock with a strong showing at the NFL combine, which is happening right now at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

Perhaps the player who could jump a full round next month is Arkansas QB Taylen Green, who ran the fastest 40-yard dash at the combine this week.

The 23-year-old passer, who threw for 2,714 yards, 19 touchdowns and 11 interceptions last season, set multiple combine records for a quarterback including fastest 40 time (4.36 seconds), highest vertical jump (43 1/2 inches), and longest broad jump (11 feet, two inches), according to ESPN.

Below are the fastest 40-yard dash times for QBs at the 2026 combine.

1.) Taylen Green, Arkansas: 4.36 seconds

2.) Haynes King, Georgia Tech: 4.45 seconds

3.) Cole Payton, North Dakota State: 4.56 seconds

4.) Sawyer Robertson, Baylor: 4.64 seconds

5.) Jalon Daniels, Kansas: 4.65 seconds

6.) Luke Altmyer, Illinois: 4.72 seconds

7.) Joe Fagnano, UConn: 4.83 seconds
