The NFL Scouting Combine has everyone’s attention. Not only are fans, scouts, and coaches watching, but EA Sports is already working.
The NFL’s official video game maker is preparing Madden NFL 2027 for its August release. They have partnered with the NFL Scouting Combine and have revealed the fastest rookie wide receivers.

They, of course, are using data from the 40-yard dash and have released the cream of the crop list in speed. Here are the fastest rookie wide receivers in Madden NFL 2027.
Topping the list is the NFL Scouting Combine’s top 40-yard dash performer: Mississippi State’s Brenen Thompson. He earned a blazing 97 overall speed rating.

LSU’s Zavion Thomas followed closely with a 96 rating, as did Deion Burks out of Oklahoma. All three of these receivers recorded a 4.30 40-time or lower.

If there’s one thing prospects will enjoy come August, it will be seeing their name on the Madden rosters. What might change their mood is their rookie ratings.

However, Thompson, Thomas, and Burks are all ahead of the curve in the speed category. They should all be thrilled with their ratings come August.
