LEBEAU AND KEISEL BOND
Dick LeBeau was the best defensive coordinator in Steelers history, and not just for his work designing some of the best defenses in football. LeBeau built a genuine bond with many of his players that continues to this day, and former Steelers DE Brett Keisel shared on Twitter that LeBeau showed up to watch Keisel’s daughter in a hockey tournament on Friday.
I hope you all have a mentor one day that leads you to be a better player/person.
Dick LeBeau was that for me/us and still is today. Showed up for daughter’s Hockey tournament to cheer them on. He’s 1/1.

Even though it’s been years since the two have worked together, that hasn’t stopped them from continuing to bond and strengthen their relationship. The same can be said for many of LeBeau’s former players, and it’s cool to see him continue to show up for his former players.
ROMAN WILSON WORKING WITH ROUTEGOD
Pittsburgh Steelers WR Roman Wilson is getting some work in early in the offseason, as he was working with James Everett, aka the RouteGod. Former Steelers receivers Diontae Johnson and George Pickens also have put in work with Everett in the past.
Wilson is entering a make-or-break third season with the Steelers. An injury limited him to five snaps as a rookie and he wasn’t as productive as expected during his second season. There was a stretch where he was a healthy scratch for the Steelers, and he was inactive for the team’s Wild Card Round playoff loss. Omar Khan expressed confidence in Wilson earlier this week, and he’s getting a headstart to making sure he can be productive for Pittsburgh this season.
ALL-TIME FAST RB GROUP
Quarterbacks, running backs and wide receiver worked out today at the NFL Combine, and the running back group set a record for being the fastest running back group in combine history in the 40-yard dash. They were led by Arkansas RB Mike Washington Jr. who ran a 4.33 40-yard dash and Notre Dame RB Jeremiyah Love’s 4.36.
Love had a formal meeting with the Steelers during the Combine, and if the team loses Kenneth Gainwell to free agency, could look to replace him in the draft.
