The Lakers dominated the Golden State Warriors 129-101 on the road, with Doncic leading the way on his birthday. The superstar guard scored 26 points and controlled the game from start to finish, but after the final buzzer, he made it clear he had one complaint.
"Nobody gave me a gift yet, it's crazy," Doncic said with a smile during his on-court interview.
The playful moment continued in the locker room. As Austin Reaves was speaking with reporters, Doncic interrupted by tossing two towels at him. Reaves quickly responded with a laugh. "I actually got you a present, you freaking idiot!"
Reaves provided a big boost off the bench, finishing with 18 points and three assists while shooting 7 of 11 from the field. Deandre Ayton did his work inside, anchoring the defense and controlling the glass. He finished with four points and 10 rebounds as the Lakers outworked the Warriors in every area.
