FC Barcelona enjoyed a great night of football on Saturday as the won their La Liga game against a generally tough Villarreal team with [a 4-1 scoreline](https://semprebarca.com/lamine-yamal-10-fermin-lopez-8-5-barcelona-4-1-villarreal-player-ratings/).
The Yellow Submarines were unable to contain the Blaugrana forwards, especially Lamine Yamal, who scored a hat-trick. With this performance, the Spanish forward got some well-deserved praise from both his own side and his opponents.
As [Mundo Deportivo](https://www.mundodeportivo.com/futbol/fc-barcelona/20260228/1004138007/brillante-analisis-comesana-ko-barca-pedri-calmo.html) has reported, in the latter category was also the Villarreal midfielder Santi Comesana, who talked to the press after the game, and said the following about Yamal:
**“He has a habit of producing great performances against us. Sergi had help from Moleiro, but stopping players like that is very difficult. The second goal, for me, is a great goal. And in the other two he finishes very well. But beyond that, he kept taking players on constantly.”**
Similalry, he also commented on how Pedri was decisive for his side:
**“Pedri calmed everything down, he took the ball away from us… With Pedri, the match stopped being end-to-end. Barça had much longer spells of possession; they didn’t make us chase them. He slips the pass for the 3–1 that cuts through three defensive lines and that’s when we lost a bit of belief. We tried, but we no longer had conviction.”**
Pedri and Lamine Yamal are two key players for Hansi Flick, and both of them put on a strong performance last night. Hopefully, they will continue performing for Barcelona in a similar manner going forward as well.
