The [Detroit Pistons](/sport/detroit-pistons/index.html)' clash against the [Cleveland Cavaliers](/sport/cleveland-cavaliers/index.html) came to a halt on Saturday night after players had to deal with a very noisy disruption.
The Pistons outlasted the Cavaliers to secure a 122-119 overtime win in Detroit but only after overcoming a few challenges at Little Caesars Arena.
Most notably, the two teams had to handle a lengthy 18-minute delay of the game after play was interrupted by a blaring horn.
During a timeout with the Pistons leading 65-64 in a 122-119 overtime victory, the horn sounded to signal the teams to return to the floor. However, it kept blasting despite frantic work from workers at the arena.
The teams returned to the benches for a few minutes and were eventually told to go back on the floor to warm up.
After 13 minutes, the arena staff shut down the entire overhead scoreboard and the horn stopped to loud cheers. The scoring crew used a manual airhorn when play resumed.
