Since leaving Liverpool in 2021, Harry Wilson has established himself as a key player at Craven Cottage.
His future at Fulham is up in the air right now, though, with his deal expiring this summer.
Wilson has been outstanding in the Premier League this season, putting up better numbers than the likes of Mohamed Salah and Bukayo Saka. There’s an argument for the 28-year-old being the best right-winger in the division on form.

So why wouldn’t Liverpool at least consider swooping for the free agent come the end of the season?
Why Harry Wilson would be a brilliant pickup for Liverpool
The first thing to acknowledge is the nine goals and six assists Wilson now has in the Premier League this season. That’s elite output.
Fulham have been inconsistent for much of the season, but they would be far worse off if not for his contributions.

Then obviously the price, or lack thereof. Wilson currently earns £55,000 per week, so even with a pay rise, it won’t break the bank.

The big plus is his versatility. While he has more often operated in the forward line, he can play as a number eight as well. For a squad player, that’s the kind of tactical flexibility managers love.
The potential snag in the Wilson deal
Even if Liverpool decide to move for Wilson, the decision will rest entirely in his hands.
Would he take a decreased role at Anfield after being the main man in a team chasing European football?
Impossible to know where his head is at in that regard, but perhaps Salah leaving Liverpool in the summer gives the Welshman hope of more involvement.
Change my mind: Frimpong is now Liverpool’s best right winger
He did more in 13 minutes vs West Ham than Salah did all game 😶

With his ability to play in multiple roles, there’s every chance he can carve out a place in the first-team setup.
