Unseen footage shows UFC star punishing Maxx Crosby during sparring session

Las Vegas Raiders star Maxx Crosby is one of the most dangerous players in the NFL. Crosby plays every snap with unmatched intensity, becoming one of the best pass rushers in the competition.

As intense as he is, Crosby found his match on the canvas. The veteran took the octagon with former UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland for a sparring session in 2023. Crosby admitted that he and Strickland “beat the s— out of each other” after their sparring session.

Three years later, footage of their fight came to light. Crosby shared footage of the match on Saturday (via Happy Punch on X), showing that Strickland tried to knock him out.

The video showed Crosby, taller than Strickland, trying to exchange punches with the more experienced fighter. He moved back with his hands down, which opened the door for Strickland to hit him twice with big hooks on his chin.

During a recent appearance on “The Rich Eisen Show,” NFL insider Tom Pelissero shared an update on Maxx Crosby’s future. The reporter said that the Raiders could move him in the next week or so.

“I would say it is fair to assume that the Raiders are getting many calls about Maxx Crosby,” Pelissero said.

“You heard what John Spytek said in this room. He expects Maxx to be back, great relationship, texting and talking. We have not heard from Maxx Crosby since that session. Maxx has many ways on social media and podcasts to potentially respond. I would say the Raiders don’t need to make calls. They will get calls on Maxx Crosby. Is there a world where Maxx Crosby gets traded in the next 7 to 10 days? I believe there is.”

This could be one of the biggest sagas of the offseason. Despite Crosby’s attempt to knock out the rumors, they aren’t stopping anytime soon.
