Adam Schefter Accused Of Showing 'Major Bias' During NFL Combine

Adam Schefter is the No. 1 NFL insider for a reason.

However, NFL fans often wonder - how much information does he get from teams and how much information does he get from agents? And, if he's getting information from agents, how much of that information is biased?

Schefter is being accused of showing "major bias" during the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine on Sunday. Schefter is being accused of floating information from one of the top NFL Draft prospect's agents.

Schefter wants NFL fans to know that Ohio State wide receiver Carnell Tate didn't actually run a 4.52 in the 40-yard dash. Instead, Schefter claims that Tate was actually timed in the range of 4.45-4.47 seconds.

But where is that information coming from?

"Ohio State WR Carnell Tate, a potential top 10 pick, was timed by several NFL executives and GMs on Saturday with a 40 time in the range of 4.45-4.47 seconds. Although the combine registers official times, teams always conduct their own timing, and those measurements with some teams were lower than his clocked 4.52," he wrote.

NFL fans accuse Schefter of showing bias

NFL fans believe that Schefter was sent that information from an agent.

"Announcing that some humans accidentally stopped their watches faster than the real time is all time damage control lol," one fan wrote.

"His real 40 time goes to a different school so you wouldn't know her," one fan added.

"Why do we even have the official measurements if everyone just uses the time from their sleep-deprived, the 58-year-old guy with a beer belly?" one fan added.

"I mean what are we doing here," one fan added.

Did Schefter overstep with this report?
