Arsenal had to battle very hard to secure victory against Chelsea on Sunday evening.
It was by no means a vintage performance from the Gunners, but their trusty set pieces managed to get them out of trouble.
William Saliba opened the scoring after his centre-back partner Gabriel headed the ball across goal from a corner. Chelsea levelled via a Piero Hincapie own goal, but Jurrien Timber sent the home crowd into raptures by restoring the lead. Their opponents subsequently went down to ten men, but Mikel Arteta’s men still needed David Raya to make some big saves to keep their slender advantage intact until the final whistle.
