Blues fans stunned after Chelsea Boss Liam Rosenior makes stunning Arsenal claim

Blues boss Liam Rosenior admitted Arsenal were ‘the best team in the world from set plays’ after Chelsea’s ‘really frustrating’ defeat at the Emirates Stadium at the weekend which left the Gunners five points clear at the top

Chelsea’s hopes of qualifying for next season’s Champions League were dealt another blow as the Blues were beaten 2-1 on Sunday after William Saliba nodded Arsenal in front midway through the first half before CHELSEA equalised just before the interval through a Piero Hincapie own goal.

Chelsea were gaining control in the second half before ARSENAL went back ahead, Jurrien Timber heading home from another Declan Rice corner, and in the end, that goal from the French star turned out to be the winning strike in order for the Gunners to open their gap over Manchester City once more.

Rosenior described the defeat as ‘really frustrating’ as Chelsea dropped points for the third Premier League game in a row to slip to sixth in the table: ‘It’s been the same story for the last three games,’ Rosenior said. ‘You have performances to get results and it is the same story. We were in the ascendancy for all three games.

‘We are together because what I never do whether we win or lose games is start pointing fingers at players. But it is clear what we need to improve.

‘It is not our football or attacking play, we need to make sure we are ruthless in both boxes.

‘To concede two goals from corners and get another red card, that has been the story of our season. It has been the story of the last few games.’

Discussing *ARSENAL*’s threat from set-pieces, Rosenior added: ‘The first goal is top. Arsenal are probably the best team in the world from set plays. If you don’t think we’ve spent all week working on set plays, you would be crazy not to. But the second one is disappointing, we just have to deal with that better.

‘We have to be stronger, we have to have a better mentality. We gave a free-kick away and then we gave a corner away when we were in control from a sloppy moment.

‘We need to win games of football and we need to solve that before Aston Villa.’
