Aston Villa have slipped to fourth place in the Premier League as the Champions League qualification race heats up.

Manchester United have moved above the Villans and into third place thanks to a 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace at Old Trafford on Sunday, after Unai Emery’s side slipped to a shock 2-0 defeat at bottom club Wolves on Friday.

Liverpool moved up to fifth place and closed the gap on Villa with victory over West Ham at Anfield on Saturday, while Chelsea slipped to sixth after losing to leaders Arsenal on Sunday.

There are some truly monumental matches on the horizon, with Villa facing Chelsea and United in their next two.
