Derby County Under-18s took three points in Premier League – North as they netted three times against Manchester City on Saturday.
Bradley Johnson’s side came out of the traps early at Moor Farm Training Centre, as Marley Mintus fired the Rams ahead after just four minutes.
Derby held onto their advantage into the second period, and Israel Green cemented the lead in the 72nd minute before Sean Corry put Derby out of sight with six minutes of regulation time remaining.
The visitors pulled one back in the first minute of extra time, but City were reduced in number three minutes later as Kylan Midwood was shown his second yellow card and a clinical display from Derby saw them secure maximum points.
